How to use the estimate
What this salary calculator includes
Netly Pay models the 2026/27 standard Personal Allowance, employment Income Tax for England/Wales/Northern Ireland or Scotland, standard employee Class 1 National Insurance, selected student-loan deductions and an optional salary-sacrifice pension illustration.
Income Tax
Uses taxable-income bands and correctly models the Personal Allowance taper above £100,000.
National Insurance
Annualises the standard monthly employee thresholds. Real NI is calculated by pay period.
Student loans
Supports Plans 1, 2, 4 and 5 plus an optional Postgraduate Loan using 2026/27 thresholds.
Why your payslip may differ
An annual calculator cannot reproduce every payroll circumstance. Your tax code, benefits, bonuses, multiple jobs, pension method, pay frequency and payroll rounding can change actual deductions. Use the result for planning and comparison, then check an actual PAYE issue with payroll or HMRC.
Example: £50,000 salary
At £50,000 with no pension or student loan, the standard Personal Allowance shelters the first £12,570 from Income Tax. Taxable income remains mostly within the basic-rate band, with National Insurance calculated separately. Change the inputs above to see the full annual and monthly breakdown for your own scenario.
